Instagram giveaway — terms and conditions

The short version: follow @xgrafter on Instagram and comment on the giveaway post for your first entry. Every two trade accounts you tag in the comments is another entry, with no limit. When the account reaches 4,000 followers (or on 31 January 2027 at the latest) we draw one winner on a random spin, and we ship the kit and the bonus free anywhere in Australia. The full terms are below.

1. Promoter

X Grafter Pty Ltd, ABN 49 703 685 072, Melbourne, Victoria (“XGrafter”, “we”). Questions: ops@xgrafter.com.

2. The prize

One DeWalt 18V XR 5.0Ah 4-Piece Combo Kit, model DCZ409P2-XE: a brushless 2-speed hammer drill driver (DCD709), an impact driver (DCF809), a compact reciprocating saw (DCS369), a 125 mm angle grinder (DCG406), two 18V XR 5.0Ah batteries, a multi-voltage charger and a heavy-duty tool bag. Value: $749 including GST (Bunnings price on 31 October 2026).

Plus a bonus, the winner’s pick of one: a DeWalt 18V XR jobsite fan (DCE512N, tool only), a DeWalt 18V XR compact blower (DCV100, tool only) or a DeWalt 18V XR 5.0Ah battery (DCB184). XGrafter buys the bonus itself; it isn’t part of, or claimed through, any DeWalt or Bunnings offer. Value: up to $250 including GST, so the total prize value is up to $999 including GST.

Everything is delivered free to an address in Australia. The prize can’t be swapped for cash. If a model isn’t available when we buy it, we’ll give an equivalent item of the same or greater value. The manufacturer’s warranty applies; XGrafter isn’t responsible for the tools themselves.

3. Who can enter

Australian residents aged 18 or over, with a public or visible Instagram account. XGrafter’s employees and directors, and their immediate families, can’t enter.

4. How to enter

• Your first entry: follow @xgrafter on Instagram and comment on the giveaway post.
• Extra entries:for every two trade accounts (tradie mates or trade businesses) you tag in your comments on the giveaway post, you get one more entry. Tag them in one comment or across several. There’s no limit.

Each account you tag only counts once for you, so tagging the same accounts again doesn’t add entries. Tags must be real people or businesses: tagging @xgrafter, DeWalt, Bunnings, Instagram, celebrities, or fake, spam or bought accounts doesn’t count, and nor do entries from them. An odd number of tags rounds down (five tags is two extra entries). Entry is free; you don’t have to buy anything.

5. When it opens and closes

The giveaway opens when the giveaway post is published on @xgrafter and closes at 11:59 pm Melbourne time on the day the @xgrafter Instagram account reaches 4,000 followers, or at 11:59 pm Melbourne time on 30 January 2027, whichever comes first.

6. The draw

One winner is drawn at random — on a spin of a digital wheel holding every valid entry (so each extra entry is another chance), screen-recorded — at 12:00 pm Melbourne time seven days after the giveaway closes, or at 12:00 pm Melbourne time on 31 January 2027, whichever is earlier, at XGrafter’s office in Melbourne, Victoria. The drawn entry must meet these terms (including still following @xgrafter at the time of the draw); if it doesn’t, we draw again on the spot until a valid entry is drawn.

7. Telling the winner

We’ll announce the winner’s Instagram handle on @xgrafter (story and post) within two days of the draw, and message the winner on Instagram from the @xgrafteraccount only. We’ll never ask for a payment, card or bank details, or a password — any account that does isn’t us. To claim, the winner replies within 14 days with their name, a delivery address in Australia and a phone number for the courier.

8. If the prize isn’t claimed

If the winner doesn’t claim within 14 days of being messaged, we’ll redraw at 12:00 pm Melbourne time on the 15th day after the original draw, at the same place and the same way, and tell the new winner the same way.

9. Your details

We only use the winner’s name, address and phone number to deliver the prize (and the handle to announce the winner). We don’t add anyone to a mailing list because they entered. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

10. Instagram and DeWalt

This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering, each entrant releases Instagram and Meta from any responsibility for the giveaway. DeWalt and Bunnings aren’t involved in, sponsoring or responsible for this giveaway, and the bonus isn’t claimed through any DeWalt or Bunnings offer. DEWALT is a trademark of its owner, used here only to describe the prize, and the product photos in the giveaway post show the prize.

11. The usual

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something outside our control stops the giveaway running fairly (for example tampering, a technical failure, or Instagram removing the post), we may change, pause or end it, subject to any direction from a state or territory regulator, and we’ll say so on @xgrafter. Our decision on the draw is final, and we keep the draw recording and entry list for 12 months.
